Pontycymer Paint Day Challenge

Great news. The Garw Wombles recently contacted Rod Shaw, Borough Councillor, with the offer of painting the bus stop shelter in Pontycymer if the paint could be provided by the Council. Rod has now confirmed that he has secured the paint and tools necessary to complete this project and we have set a date of Sunday 2nd July at 11am. We will be painting the bus shelter the Pontycymer colours: Magnolia, with a feature wall in emerald green, and a gold stripe.

For anyone interested in helping out on the day we have created a Facebook Event so we know you’re coming, or just turn up on the day.

Chris Pinches, the proprietor of the Premier store opposite the bus shelter, has generously offered free tea and coffee for the Pontycymer Paint Day Challenge volunteers and we are extremely grateful for his generosity.

This is our first big project and hopefully the first of many more. If you have any ideas for future projects please get in touch or post to our Facebook page.

We look forward to seeing you there.
