They have very different styles and contrast each other beautifully.
Philip’s paintings focus on deserted townscapes and the urban environments. They draw you in, are places you want to enter into, some of his paintings may be of places familiar to you, revive memories or now places you want to visit.
Jacqueline, in contrast, often uses vibrant colour expressing the individual in deserted environments conveying their emotive presence. Are we looking at them or are they looking at us?
Both Philip and Jacqueline exhibited at the 2018 National Eisteddfod of Wales exhibition where they attracted the attention of Kevin Sinnott who hosts this exhibition at his gallery Studio 18 in Pontycymer.
The exhibition opens on Sunday 28th October 2:30 – 5:00.
